Details of 316 Stainless Steel Sheet

Today, 304l Stainless Steel Sheet Supplier will introduce the details of 316 stainless steel sheet.

316 stainless steel plate includes hot rolled stainless steel plate and cold rolled stainless steel plate.

1)Hot rolled 316 stainless steel sheet

Thickness: 3.0mm-200mm.

Width: 1500mm, 1800mm, 2000mm.

Length: 6000mm.

Finish: No.1, 1D.

Package: wooden pallets with craft paper and steel strip.

Our service:

We could offer hot rolled 316 stainless steel sheet from thickness 3mm to 200mm. From thickness 3mm to 14mm, it is in roll, the standard width is 1525mm-1545mm with mill edge, we could slit it to 1500mm with the slitting edge. And the standard length in China is 6000mm. This is our normal stock size for 316 stainless steel sheet and coils. We could also silt the width to your requirement by slitting machine and cut the length to your special by cutting machine.

From thickness 14mm to 200mm, 316 Stainless Steel Sheet is manufactured sheet by sheet, because of the thickness, the machine could not make the rolls any more. The standard size is 1500mmx6000mm, 1800mmx6000mm and 2000mmx6000mm, we have large stock for these thickness and size. And we offer cutting service if you could not buy a whole sheet.

316 stainless steel sheet introduction:

Main chemical components: (C) carbon ≤ 0.08, (Si) silicon ≤ 1, (Mn) manganese ≤ 2, (P) phosphorus ≤ 0.045, (S) sulfur ≤ 0.030, (Ni) nickel 10.0 to 14.0, (Cr) Chromium 16.0~18.0, (Mo) Molybdenum 2.00-3.00

316 stainless steel sheet is a kind of stainless steel. Due to the addition of Mo element, its corrosion resistance and high temperature strength are greatly improved, and its high temperature resistance can reach 1200-1300 degrees. It can be used under harsh conditions. The main uses are heat exchangers for pulp and paper equipment, dyeing equipment, film processing equipment, pipelines, and materials for building exteriors in coastal areas. In 2013, 316 stainless steel sheet was also used in the field of solenoid valves. It is mainly used for housings, clamps, spheres, valve bodies, valve seats, nuts, stems, etc.

Finish: 2B, HL, NO.4, 8K.

Package: Fumigation free wooden pallets with craft paper and steel strip.

The difference between 316 stainless steel sheet and 316L stainless steel sheet (PART I)

The 316 stainless steel sheet and 316L stainless steel sheet (see below for properties of 316L stainless steel) are molybdenum-containing stainless steels. The molybdenum content of 316L stainless steel is slightly higher than that of 316 stainless steel. Due to the molybdenum content in the steel, the overall performance of the steel is better than that of 310 and 304 stainless steels. Under high temperature conditions, when the concentration of sulfuric acid is lower than 15% and higher than 85%, 316 stainless steel sheet has a wide range of uses. 316 stainless steel sheet also has good resistance to chloride attack and is therefore commonly used in the marine environment.

316L stainless steel sheet has a maximum carbon content of 0.03 and can be used in applications where annealing cannot be performed after welding and maximum corrosion resistance is required

Corrosion resistance:

Corrosion resistance is superior to 304 stainless steel and has good corrosion resistance in the production of pulp and paper. And 316 stainless steel sheet is also resistant to the erosion of the ocean and the aggressive industrial atmosphere.
